“Say something romantic”.

What can you say that is romantic? How do you define romantic?

If you are in need of inspiration as to what romance is or how to put it into words then read on………..

What is Romance ?

Romance is love plus desire.

Romance is the happiness of true lovers.

Romance is a loving, passionate and intimate relationship.

Romance is an ardent, exciting, and mysterious emotional bond.

Romance is a combination of caring and attraction in a mating relationship.

Romance is the feeling of being transformed by the love and desire of another.

Romance is the excitement of the chase, capture and eternal imprisonment of a heart.

Romance is the feeling of becoming more complete as you find missing puzzle pieces in another.

Romance is pleasurable, devoted intimacy that enables two people to become of one heart, one mind, and one body.

Romance is the feeling of having one’s most important relationship needs met by another person, and wanting to meet his or her needs in return.

Romance is a mixture of pleasant and exciting feelings, such as anticipation, adventure, amorousness and caring, that surrounds a growing intimate relationship between a man and a woman.

Many believe that romantic love is the same as passionate love [infatuation]. It isn’t. Romantic love has the intensity, engagement and sexual chemistry that passionate love has, minus the obsessive component. Passionate or obsessive love includes feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. This kind of love helps drive the shorter relationships but not the longer ones.—Bianca P. Acevedo, Researcher

 Romance is being One!

Romance reaches its greatest potential in marriage with the complete development of emotional, spiritual, and physical intimacy. Emotional intimacy is being of one heart—desiring to make each other happy, to be together, and to belong to each other. Spiritual intimacy is being of one mind—sharing the same values and basic life goals, and working together to attain them. Physical intimacy is being of one body—sharing the pleasures and comforts of intimate sensuous affection.

Complete romance in marriage is like a jet airplane. Emotional intimacy is like the wings that provides lift, allowing you to fly to great heights and distances, and without which your ride would be nothing but a painful bumping along the ground. Spiritual intimacy is like the tail with its various control surfaces that give stability and direction, enabling you to finally arrive where you really want to be. Physical intimacy is like the engine. It provides desire and motivation, making powered, thrilling flight possible.

In marriage all of the worthy yearnings of the human soul, all that is physical and emotional and spiritual, can be fulfilled.—Boyd Packer

When romance is alive, each lover is eager to please the other for no other reason than to make him or her happy. Snickering, sarcasm, bickering, pouting, competing, complaining, and blaming are gone. The woman is able to focus on her man’s happiness because she knows that he is watching out for her interests, so she doesn’t have to worry about them. The man similarly doesn’t feel like he has to compete for his interests because she is eagerly concerned with them. Such a goal is not unrealistic. Although no romance is perfect, many couples have come close enough to the ideal of “one heart” that they can go for months with no arguments, smiling cheerfully at each other each evening, and cherishing their time together. They have achieved this state of marital bliss because each partner began conscientiously striving to meet each of the relationship needs of the other. As relationship needs were met, mutual good will and appreciation began to replace resentment and self-concern, until each could trust the good faith of the other sufficiently to pull together as one instead of competing. Your feelings of caring for a person, and his or her feelings of attraction for you, increase as you make efforts to meet his or her relationship needs. This is the formula for marital bliss. As Leo Tolstoy said, “Happy families are all alike. All unhappy families are unhappy in their own way.”i_love_lllyouLove is an action verb. A happy marriage is built and sustained by daily acts of love and respect that will produce feelings of tender affection in the giver as well as the receiver, and provide a garden in which the romantic potential of each spouse may develop.

The happiness of married life depends upon making small sacrifices with readiness and cheerfulness.—John Selden

True love does not come by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.—Jason Jordan

The greatest factor in a happy marriage is an anxious concern for the comfort and well-being of one’s companion.—Gordon Hinckley

…of one mind

Risk and sacrifice are inherent in romance. This is because you can only have romance to the extent that you are willing to sacrifice your individuality for the sake of unity with your mate. Your emotions and decisions are no longer all your own, but are intertwined with those of your lover. Because it requires unity, romance dies when it meets up with stubborn independence or selfishness. In order for romance to blossom fully in marriage, husband and wife must forge new values, priorities and goals together. This is possible only as they come to understand and trust each other, and learn together what is really important in life. True romance requires an unwavering commitment to marriage, demonstrated daily by putting the good of the marriage above other pursuits.

Romance is not double-minded. It requires choosing reality over fantasy, and forsaking all others in lifelong commitment to your chosen mate. Romantic flirtations or fantasies involving anyone else can erode trust and desire in marriage, making intimacy and unity more difficult. If extramarital flirtations or fantasies have weakened a romance, both partners must exercise faith, hope, and charity to rebuild the trust and desire that were lost. This rebuilding occurs by the meeting of each other’s basic relationship needs. Seeing those needs met by their mates enables husbands and wives to regain trust and to have the assurance they need to give themselves completely to the marriage, and to make his future and her futuretheir future together.

…of one body

Within marriage, romance can reach its greatest potential with the sharing of sexual intimacy.

love-song-love-songProperly enjoyed in marriage, sexual intimacy is a glue that can bind two hearts together, and make romance timeless and complete. Sexual intimacy is God’s wedding gift to married couples. Its purpose is not only procreation, but also celebration, recreation, and unification. It makes forgiveness, patience, acceptance, and forbearance easier. Used as intended—for mutual enjoyment in marriage—it is innocent and beautiful. It can be an expression of love, desire, appreciation, and tenderness. It allows a couple to leave their troubles behind for a while and find refreshment, redemption, and mutual recommitment. The sexual relationship in marriage is powerful, but fragile. It may be easily damaged or destroyed by extramarital flirtations or adulterous fantasies, by inconsiderate or unkind acts, by neglect, or by ignorance of mental and emotional differences between men and women as they relate to sex.

Physical intimacy is a strong force in strengthening the love bond in marriage, enhancing and reinforcing marital unity.—Homer Ellsworth

Most people probably have their own ideas about romance and romantic words and gestures.

Can the word romance mean different things to different people?

Most likely yes, it is probably best for a couple to evolve together what they consider to be romantic gestures and words. Favorite romantic words for some might sound like clichés to others.

This quote summarizes romantic love well:

Love_Song_I_by_Kiarii37

“Romantic love reaches out in little ways, showing attention and admiration. Romantic love remembers what pleases a woman, what excites her, and what surprises her. Its actions whisper: you are the most special person in my life. ” quote by Charles Stanley from ( A Man’s Touch)

Courtship could be considered an out of date idea in the modern world, but it played an important role in the past and we could learn something about how to be romantic from the concept of courtship.

Courtship was a way that a gentleman would set about winning a ladies heart. This is often featured in fairy tales but it was and can be present in real life to.

To court a lady a gentleman, paid her special attention, this could be in the from of gifts such as flowers, jewelry, personal gifts such as tokens of love. giving a love spoon he had carved especially for her.

For anyone struggling with the concept –

The essence of romance is about how you feel about a person and letting them know why they are special to you. It is creating a special atmosphere/mood with words, events or gestures.

You can be romantic without being in love and you can be in love without being romantic; but the two things usually go together.

Most of the words to do with romance are to do with being in love or feeling something special for someone.

love110Love is an act of endless forgiveness
A tender look which becomes a habit.
by Peter Ustinov

When someone says – “Say something romantic.”

“Ask yourself what are they asking for?”

Do they want reassurance -that you love them, that you find them attractive, are they seeking a sign of commitment, or are they wanting to make a date a special occasion that will lift it into being a memorable occasion.

If you just want a list of romantic words and sayings then skip down the page you will find them further down.

Ask yourself, what is that special person asking you for?

You probably know if you think about it.

The answer will depend on the couple, but romance is about making the other person feel special and telling them why you think they are special to you.

What can you do if you find the idea of saying romantic words difficult ? Try to say something you are comfortable with, eventually with practice saying something romantic about the way you feel, how and why you like this person will become second nature.

It is probably helpful to read romantic quotes, letters or statements made by people who have done a good job of declaring their feelings in a romantic way.

No surprise that the ones we have on record are mostly from famous people.

Romance has not been deliberately swept aside in relationships but in the modern world it is often difficult to remember to find the time to write a letter or even a message in a card to tell someone how much they mean to you.

What can you say that is romantic?

Here is a list of ideas to help inspire you to say something romantic.

Always try be honest and do not use romantic words just for the sake of saying them.

Ideas to say something romantic –

What it is that makes you like this person so much?

Or why it is that you love them.

It really is not that difficult think about what makes them special to you.

If you could not see them for a month what would you miss about them – romantic things- you would miss about them.

Remember – It may not be obvious at first but when you love someone – things other people might see as negative can be seen as part of their personality and as such an endearing feature.

Romantic Words – Romantic Quotes.

‘Soul meets soul on lover’s lips. ‘ by Percy Bysshe Shelly

Words that can be romantic …

Remember you still need to use these words in the right way and do not use them if you do not mean them. mean what you say and say what you mean is a good guide to picking the right words to use.

Love.

Darling. Dearest. Sweetheart. Angel. Amazing.Beautiful. Beguiling. Cherished.

Caring. Charming. Charismatic. Cute. Divine. Delightful. Desirable. Exquisite. Enchanting. Enticing. Lovely. Special. Sweet.Treasure.

Romantic Words – to say

I am so lucky to have met you.

I never knew how sweet life could be until I saw you smile.

If all the women in the world where stood in one long line. I would search until I found you and ask you to be mine.

Will you still love me tomorrow? Please say you will.

This must be love, I think of you and the world is a better place.

For me the definition of happiness is to walk into a room and find you there.

The simplest is still the best = I love you and I always will. Or even simpler – I love you.

Saying something romantic in writing.

No surprise that the ones we have on record are mostly from famous people. Yet often stored away in a box in many houses is a bundle of letters tied up with a bow, a reminder of the days when lovers exchanged letters in the post when they were apart. In the days before mobile phones or even household telephones, the only way to communicate with someone you loved when they were away was to write a letter and post it to them. In the days of instant communication it is difficult to imagine the pleasure of receiving a letter like this way, or the anticipation of listening for a letter to arrive delivered to your doormat by the postman. This letter writing may have made saying something romantic easier, after the practice of writing something romantic.

imagesCAD1SOW8My love…

What is it about you my love?
That you come uninvited…
Filling my empty heart
Overwhelming my senses
When I searched not for you…

What is it about you my love?
That I want to break into
A dance, a song
A smile for everyone,
Thinking of you…

What is it about you my love?
That the colors and hues
Of my dreary world
Intensify to a riot,
Vibrant and intense…

What is it about you my love?
That I hold on to your hand
Never wanting to let go…
Wishing every moment
Never flitted away…

What is it about you my love?
That my desires and passion
Soar like an eagle
Reaching newer heights…
Exploring new dimensions in me

What is it about you my love?
That with renewed vigor
I embark on this journey
Of life, filled with strife
Without fear, without doubt…

What is it about you my dearest love?
That enwrapped in your arms
I feel rested and peaceful
At last…

The Master Cleanse Free Book

FREE BOOK     The Original Edition!

images (1).jpgxxxxxxxxxxxxStanley Burroughs published The Master Cleanser in 1976. Since then thousands and thousands of people have used it to cleanse their way to better health and slimmer, trimmer bodies. His book was one of the first books to popularize a detox diet. In addition to the cleanse, sometimes referred to as the Lemonade Diet, Burroughs included his philosophy of disease and home remedies for various ailments such as ring worm, dandruff, fungus growths on the hands or feet, athlete’s foot, indigestion, gas and more. He also includes vegetarian recipes and menus. It has been a classic for decades. The Mater Cleanse, also called the Lemonade Diet has been around for decades. It was created by Stanley Burroughs who was an early advocate of natural health, and believed in the body’s natural ability to heal itself. The results people have experienced by going on this diet have been nothing short of amazing. Chronic health problems people have suffered with for years vanish in as little as 10 days on this amazing diet. You can still find Stanley Burroughs book at most health food store, or online. It’s a small 50 page paperback book that has not changed much since it was first published around 50 years ago. That’s a good thing, it means the Master Cleanse has stood the test of time, but there have been many developments in the natural health field since the time the Master Cleanse was first introduced, and they can defiantly enhance your experience with the Cleanse.

Master Cleanse Ingredients

images (1).jpgzzzzzzzzzThe Master Cleanse is powerful in its simplicity. Although very few ingredients are required, the quality of the ingredients is important. Every one of The Master Cleanse Ingredients should be:
  • Whole
  • Organic grade
  • Unrefined with no preservatives
The point is to remove chemicals from your system, to eliminate toxins. Your common sense should tell you that canned lemon juice does not have the same nutritional content as fresh squeezed. It should also tell you that organic is free from chemicals and pesticides. The maple syrup will need to be full of nutrients too, and this means no Aunt Je-my-god-this-is-so-refined-sugary-crap maple syrup. Get whole foods. Unrefined foods.

The Master Cleanse Ingredients

download (1).jpgzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz The diet itself is also simple and requires only five ingredients. You will want to make sure you have at least several days worth of supplies. I have been caught without maple syrup before and have had to make a dash for a whole foods retailer late one night. This is your nourishment, and simply, if you don’t have it you can’t eat, so be prepared. I shop for a whole week. That can be up to 20 lemons, and 1 liter of maple syrup. In a few months, we will be offering a starter kit that will include all items except the lemons.

  • Organic Lemons
  • Organic Grade B Maple Syrup
  • Organic Cayenne Pepper
  • Organic unrefined Sea Salt
  • Purified Water

Lemons for the Lemonade Diet

Lemons_for_the_Lemonade_dietWhen digested, the lemon alkalizes the body. Lemon is a natural cleansing agent for the body, as it brakes and loosens mucus to be eliminated.
Lemon also contains:
  • many minerals and vitamins – C, B-5, B-6
  • digestive enzymes
These help us to brake down unhealthy tissues and cells to be recycled and regenerated. To learn more about this Lemonade diet ingredient, go to our Organic Lemons page.

How many lemons will I need for 10 days of Lemonade diet?

If you buy 50 lemons in advance, as most people do, store 40 in the fridge at a time and take the 10 most ripe lemons out for your first day or two.
NOTE : Store your lemons on the counter to ripen, NOT in the fridge. Enzymes are dormant in the fridge. You want those enzymes.

Maple Syrup for the Lemonade Diet

  • images (1).jpgzzzzzzzzzzzzThis is the ingredient in the Master Cleanse that will provide you with the calories and the energy to to fuel your body during the cleanse.
  • Maple Syrup was chosen by Stanley Burroughs for specific reasons (as was every other ingredient –Fresh Lemon Juice, Cayenne Pepper and Pure Water). It was chosen because it is a very high quality, concentrated source of energy when consumed in its purest state (as close to right-from-the-tree as possible) and is packed full of: nutrients, minerals and vitamins. For the list of all the specific nutrients, please go to our Maple Syrup Page.
  • THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT : There are generally 4 grades of Maple syrup. You can also see this grading expressed in the different colors of Maple syrup available on the market. Grade B is actually the highest quality of syrup for the Master Cleanse, and the best choice possible. If it is not available for you, get the darkest grade you can.

Maple syrup provides nutrients, calories and energy

1 Tablespoon of Maple Syrup provides about 55 calories. Since we aim to average 8 glasses of Lemonade each day, we will consume 880 calories each day alone from Maple Syrup (8 glasses x 2 Tablespoons x 55 calories). There are 4 calories in each Tablespoon of Fresh Lemon Juice. That provides a daily calorie intake of 944 calories.

Alternatives to Maple Syrup

Inevitably someone always asks what an acceptable substitute might be. I will list the most common ones, but let me be clear: RICH MAPLE SYRUP IS BEST :)
  1. Sorghum Syrup – Stanley Burroughs approved
  2. Sugar Cane – Stanley Burroughs approved
  3. Blackstrap Molasses – An alternative For Diabetics.
  4. Coconut Nectar – The newest addition to this list. It is 100 % raw, vegan, low glycemic, low fructose, very nutritious as well as has neutral PH.

Cayenne Pepper for the Lemonade Diet

images (1).jpgzCayenne Pepper is so critical to The Master Cleanse and Lemonade Diet that it is sometimes called the Cayenne Pepper Diet. Cayenne Pepper is a Super Food. Cayenne Pepper is a vegetable and we get our powder for The Lemonade Diet from grinding up a dried specific type of red pepper. Still, many refer to cayenne pepper as an herb. In fact, herbologist and herbalists say that Cayenne Pepper is The Master Herb. Perhaps this is where Stanley Burroughs came up with the name “The Master Cleanser.”

Why Cayenne Pepper is The Master of The Master Cleanse Ingredients

Cayenne Pepper has many wonderful properties:

  1. It is a stimulant which raises the metabolism (something that is important when not digesting food).
  2. It increases circulation, which is very helpful when cleansing because one often feels slightly cool, likely due to the low metabolism which results from not digesting food.
  3. Cayenne Pepper also acts as a blood thinner and purifier, which can help with digestion.
pure_water_for_the_Lemonade_diet

Pure Water for the Lemonade Diet

water_filter_Master_CleanseThe quality of your water during the Master Cleanse is the key to great results. You probably know that your body uses water to flush and transport toxins to the organs of elimination ( The colon, bladder, lungs, skin and so on…) to discharge them. Latest scientific research shows that many health problems can be significantly improved, or completely eliminated, with just an adequate consumption of good water. To learn more about the healing power of water, We recommend 3 ways to ensure your water is pure and appropriate for the Cleanse:

  1. You can use a Water Ionizer
  2. Install good Water Filter for your tap water
  3. Or check your local health-food store for Purified Bottled Water

What about distilled water?

Stanley Burroughs – The Master Cleanse founder, did not recommend using distilled water. He called it was “cooked” – completely stripped of natural minerals found in water. It is also slightly acidic.

Equipment

Amazon ImageTo complete the diet, very little in terms of equipment or apparatus is required. All items are small, taking up very little space in your cupboard and counter. They are all simple and easy to clean, and should not provide you with any excuses for not starting. To prepare the Master Cleanse Ingredients for your Lemonade you will need:

  • 12? Cutting Board
  • Sharp Knife
  • Hand Juicer
  • Tablespoon Measure
  • 3 – 1 Liter Chug-gables

Here is a video showing exactly what ingredients to buy and how to make the lemonade.

Thanksgiving Gratitude! Inspirational Table Quotes!

ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

g

The greatest thief of human happiness and abundance is ungratefulness. Any lack in our lives – whether in money, health, or relationships – is simply the evidence of a lack of gratitude. If you focus on lack you are not being grateful, and that will bring more lack into your life. Yet the simple state of radiating gratitude summons everything to you.

No matter whom you are or where you are, you can change your life with gratitude, but you must feel it with your whole heart and radiate it from every cell. Gratitude is not a mental exercise, and in fact, if you simply use your mind for gratitude it will have little or no power. True gratitude comes from your heart! You must think gratitude through your heart, speak gratitude through your heart, and feel it intensely in your heart.

Then practice gratitude relentlessly. As you practice gratitude you will attract more thoughts and feelings of gratitude. In a short time your entire being will be saturated with it, and you will experience a happiness that is beyond what you can imagine. This is what is ahead for you when you choose gratitude as your way of life. And if you can really live in this highest state of gratitude, you will never have to ask for anything. Everything you want will be given to you before you even ask, because gratitude is the magnetic substance that opens every single door in the Universe.

On Thursday of this Thanksgiving, to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to share an excerpt with you from The Secret Daily Teachings, which is being released in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia on December 9th. This excerpt presents an easy way to start using gratitude and integrate it into your life by making every Thursday “Thank You Thursday.” As you “Thank your way through every Thursday” you will open the most powerful receiving channel within you.

From The Secret Daily Teachings – Thank You Thursday

download (3)

“Today is Thank You Thursday. Today and every Thursday is your day to say and feel “Thank you” in as many ways as you can.

Write a list of all the people and events you want to give thanks for.

Return thanks today to those who have done things for you.

As you walk say “Thank you” in your mind with each step you take.

As you drive, make each time you stop your cue to say “Thank you.”

At various times in the day, think and feel “Thank you” inside you seven times in a row.

Look for every opportunity to say “Thank you” to other people, and say it with so much meaning that the person looks right at you.

Thank your way through every Thursday, and make “Thank you” your predominant thought, feeling, and words of the day.

“Thank you” – two words, inconceivable potential power, and all they need is you to put the power into them by expressing them.

Thank you!” …………………

The Law of Gratitude

th Chances are that you have never had the opportunity to see and feel the pleasures of looking through “rose colored glasses”. I have experienced so many magical moments in the lives of people merely through this aged-old principle and lost secret of life I uncovered while using my secret invisible yet miraculous glasses …

You see my friend I have been fortunate enough to enjoy the many astonishing pleasures of life just through the magic of giving roses. Think of it this way. What you are about to discover is one of the most incredible secrets of life itself. This law is one of the most transformational principles that governs our universe and breathes life into the lifeless. Practice this principle and you will become more abundant and attract amazing miracles and astonishment in every area of your newly discovered life.

This is in fact the most direct route to all you amorous manifestations and awe-inspiring dreams come true. It has almost magical qualities to it and will turn the mundane into the most beautiful. It is a gift to yourself and a gift to others. This belief will literally re-shape and recreate your entire life forever.

These principles will bring light top the darkest corners of any life. It will turn frowns into smiles and sadness to joy. It is possibly the greatest healer of all our unhappiness. Once we learn to work with it will free us of any negative energy that surround or daily lives. This principle holds the power to transform our lives eternally.

imageAAAAsGratitude and appreciation! As powerful as love! Together they are Love. Appreciate all that life offers. Be grateful for all that you are and have, Be thankful for life itself. Praise the good and the evil. Always live in this state and your life and your surroundings will instantly and miraculously change. Appreciation multiplies a universal law of attraction. It takes anything and makes it more. It literally expands the good the love. Relationships will flourish. Love will expand. Life will become fulfilled. Appreciation is the secret to make anything blossom and grow into something more. The greater the heartfelt gratitude the faster and broader your life will change. It’s that simple! Appreciation and gratitude for every part of life is the secret of the “rose colored Glasses”!

Just know that it works miracles! No matter how little you have in life right now, when you fill it with gratitude and appreciation IT WILL INCREASE! Your life be become spectacularly abundant!

I have so much more to write about this unstoppable powerful law and will in future articles.

So I write this first article to help one understand the bond between Gratitude, Life, relationships and the Magical “giving of Roses”

Roses are Gods gift to the planet that allows us to demonstrate our love and gratitude. A rose expresses the feelings of love and appreciation like no other flower on earth. There is no other way on earth to articulate your appreciation to ANYONE yet with the silent lexis and Godly aroma of a rose. Give with your heart and the roses will communicate your true thoughts to your appreciated loved one!

Appreciate yourself, your world, your thoughts and the ones you love.

Show your Gratitude, you’re Appreciation, your love with roses! Look through the “Rose Colored Glasses” and change your life, and the existence of all that surround your wondrous new world.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Edward Sandford Martin
Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

O. Henry
There is one day that is ours. There is one day when all we Americans who are not self-made go back to the old home to eat saleratus biscuits and marvel how much nearer to the porch the old pump looks than it used to. Thanksgiving Day is the one day that is purely American.

Cynthia Ozick
We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.

Robert Casper Lintner
Thanksgiving is nothing if not a glad and reverent lifting of the heart to God in honor and praise for His goodness.

George Washington
It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor.

Robert Quillen

Cicero
A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues.

Here are some wonderful Thanksgiving quotes that show you how to count your blessings. How often do we remember to express our gratitude to our friends, family, and God? If you wish to express your deepest gratitude, these thanksgiving quotes will be helpful.

Johannes A. Gaertner
To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven.

William Law
Would you know who is the greatest saint in the world: It is not he who prays most or fasts most, it is not he who gives most alms or is most eminent for temperance, chastity or justice; but it is he who is always thankful to God, who wills everything that God wills, who receives everything as an instance of God’s goodness and has a heart always ready to praise God for it.

Melody Beattie
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

Frank A. Clark
If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.

Fred De Witt Van Amburgh
None is more impoverished than the one who has no gratitude. Gratitude is a currency that we can mint for ourselves, and spend without fear of bankruptcy.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

Estonian Poverb
Who does not thank for little will not thank for much.

Ethel Watts Mumford
God gave us our relatives; thank God we can choose our friends.

H. U. Westermayer
The Pilgrims made seven times more graves than huts. No Americans have been more impoverished than these who, nevertheless, set aside a day of thanksgiving.

Meister Eckhart
If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, ‘thank you,’ that would suffice.

Galatians 6:9
Do not get tired of doing what is good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.

Thomas Aquinas
It would seem that the ingratitude, whereby a subsequent sin causes the return of sins previously forgiven, is a special sin. For, the giving of thanks belongs to counter passion, which is a necessary condition of justice. But justice is a special virtue. Therefore this ingratitude is a special sin. Thanksgiving is a special virtue. But ingratitude is opposed to thanksgiving. Therefore ingratitude is a special sin.

Albert Barnes
We can always find something to be thankful for, and there may be reasons why we ought to be thankful for even those dispensations which appear dark and frowning.

Henry Ward Beecher
The unthankful heart… discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings!

William Faulkner
Gratitude is a quality similar to electricity: it must be produced and discharged and used up in order to exist at all.

George Herbert
Thou that has given so much to me,
Give one thing more — a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleases me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days;
But such a heart, whose pulse may be
Thy praise.

The Dangers Of Fluoride

The Dangers Of Fluoride

Approximately half of the United States’ drinking water supply is fluoridated in an attempt to reduce dental cavities in children. Is this state of affairs justified? Is it safe?

florMost Americans are unaware of the dangers of ingesting fluoride. Most dentists, physicians and scientists are unaware of the dangers of fluoride and water fluoridation. According to a 1988 article in the prestigious Chemical and Engineering News, scientific voices of opposition to fluoridation have been suppressed, since 1950 when the U.S. Public Health Service first endorsed fluoridation. Power tactics including threats, ridicule and frank censorship aimed at scientists and clinicians knowledgeable about fluoridation have prevented the truth about fluoride to be disseminated to the science world as well as to the public. Whenever a public agency is charged with objectively evaluating the safety of a procedure while at the same time endorsing and recommending it, a serious conflict of interest is set up. This is exactly the position of the U.S. Public Health Service for the past 60 years.

Facts About Fluoride

So, what are some of the facts about fluoride? According to the handbook, Clinical Toxicology of Commercial Products, fluoride is more poisonous than lead and just slightly less poisonous than arsenic. It is a cumulative poison that accumulates in bone over the years. According to the Physicians Desk Reference, “in hypersensitive individuals, fluorides occasionally cause skin eruptions such as atopic dermatitis, eczema, or urticaria. Gastric distress, headache, and weakness have also been reported. These hypersensitive reactions usually disappear promptly after discontinuation of the fluoride.”

From 1990 to 1992, the Journal of the American Medical Association published three separate articles linking increased hip fracture rates to fluoride in the water. In the March 22, 1990 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, Mayo Clinic researchers reported that fluoride treatment of osteoporosis increased hip fracture rate and bone fragility.

flA study by Procter and Gamble showed that as little as half the amount of fluoride used to fluoridate public water supplies resulted in a sizable and significant increase in genetic damage. Epidemiology research in the mid-1970’s by the late Dr. Dean Burk, head of the cytochemistry division of the National Cancer Institute, indicated that 10,000 or more fluoridation-linked cancer deaths occur yearly in the United States. In 1989, the ability of fluoride to transform normal cells into cancer cells was confirmed by Argonne National Laboratories. Results released in 1989 of studies carried out at the prestigious Batelle Research Institute showed that fluoride was linked to a rare form of liver cancer in mice, oral tumors and cancers in rats, and bone cancer in male rats. Since 1991, the New Jersey Department of Health found that the incidence of osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, was far higher in young men exposed to fluoridated water as compared to those who were not.

In addition to the well documented toxic effects of fluoride, fluoride even at dosages of 1 part per million, found in artificially fluoridated water, can inhibit enzyme systems, damage the immune system, contribute to calcification of soft tissues, worsen arthritis and, of course, cause dental fluorosis in children. These are unsightly white, yellow or brown spots that are found in teeth exposed to fluoride during childhood. In 1993, the Subcommittee on Health Effects of Ingested Fluoride of the National Research Council admitted that 8% to 51% and sometimes up to 80% of the children living in fluoridated areas have dental fluorosis. Malnourished people, particularly children, usually targeted for fluoridation, are at greater risks to experience fluoride’s harmful effects.

flouuSurprisingly, the most recent studies do not even show that water fluoridation is effective in reducing tooth decay. In the largest U.S. study of fluoridation and tooth decay, United States Public Health Service dental records of over 39,000 school children, ages 5-17, from 84 areas around the United States showed that the number of decayed, missing, and filled teeth per child was virtually the same in fluoridated and non-fluoridated areas. Dr. John Colquhoun, former Chief Dental Officer of the Department of Health for Auckland, New Zealand, investigated tooth decay statistics from about 60,000 12 to 13 year old children and showed that fluoridation had no significant effect on tooth decay rate.

Given all of this scientific information, what is behind this push for universal fluoridation? Prior to 1945, fluoride was properly regarded as an environmental pollutant. It was responsible for many lawsuits against industries, such as the aluminum industry and the phosphate fertilizer industry, whose waste products contain large quantities of fluoride. This fluoride destroyed crops and animals, leading to the lawsuits. The limited public view was that fluoride was an environmental pollutant that needed to be reduced or eliminated from the environment.

As a result of clever public relations campaigns, fluoride was transformed from an environmental pollutant to an essential nutrient necessary for producing healthy teeth. The science was poor, but the P.R. campaign was great. Being against fluoride was like being against motherhood or apple pie. Industries not only made millions from selling this environmental pollutant to water companies and toothpaste companies, but more importantly, it saved billions of dollars that would be required to clean up this environmental pollutant.

So, what can you do to protect yourself from fluoride?

floreeFirst, avoid fluoridated water. Much of the metropolitan area, including New York City water is artificially fluoridated. Boiling water removes chlorine, but concentrates fluoride. Water filters do not remove fluoride, unless there is a reverse osmosis component. Children should avoid fluoridated vitamins and fluoride treatments at the dentist. Everyone should avoid fluoridated toothpaste. The concentration of fluoride in water is 1 ppm, in toothpaste 1,000 ppm and in fluoride dental rinses 10,000 ppm. Work on your legislators to get fluoride out of the water supplies.

An Inconvenient Tooth is a documentary film about fluoride. It was released September 6th, 2012 at the city hall in Portland, Oregon. Fluoride does horrible damage to human bones, thyroids, the pineal gland, and many other areas of the body, yet big industry, the medical establishment, and those in government continue to promote its use in tap water and in tooth paste and dental treatments.

This is What is Happening with Fluoride

imagesCAXN68YOMost of us are well aware of the dangers of fluoride, and the lies that we are told about it even while various studies have proven it’s dangers and how it is unnecessary to put in our drinking water and food supply.
I’m not here to debate or argue about fluoride, but I welcome anyone who disagrees with the danger of fluoride to post their opinions if they feel they really need to. My main purpose for this thread is to discuss the video, and the content it contains but will tolerate a broader discussion about fluoride even though I rather discuss the content of the documentary.
So if you are going to defend the fluoridation of our water supply please try to do so in relation to the video. It is a rather long video so I don’t expect anyone to comment for a while unless you have already seen this documentary.
The documentary contains a lot of information that most of us are already aware about but it is well put together and helps connect the dots and is a good video to share with those who may be unaware of the controversy that comes with this topic.
I hope you enjoy, because I sure did

Fluoride is a poison to all living creatures especially humans. The main reason it is in our water, toothpaste, etc.. is because these large corporations have these lobbyist that bribe politicians to pass stupid laws having this poison in our products. It is a profitable way for these large corporations to get rid of their toxic fluoride waste. It is sickening the length these companies? will go, to increase their bottom line(PROFITS).

Fluoride History

Fluoride warning! Much of the fluoride dumped into U.S. water is imported from chemical factories in China. Those factories warn that fluoride is TOXIC to human health.
Fluoride is sold as a PESTICIDE, a nuclear industry chemical and more. SCARY information!
Learn the truth about fluoride.

Your Body’s Energy System

Your Energy System

herbs 2The body is an interconnected and a highly intricate network of trillions of cells. One of the many functions of cells is to produce energy for life. For each cell to produce energy, it needs fuel primarily in the form of glucose. The surface of each cell contains docking stations for insulin and glucose. Insulin serves as the “key” which opens cell receptors for glucose to enter.

insulin3

There are other transport vehicles inside the cell called Glucose transporters (Glut). These transport vehicles carry glucose molecules to the mitochondria (the cell’s “furnace”) where the body ultimately uses it to create energy.

How Problems Begin

As carbohydrates or sugars are absorbed by the intestines after a meal and blood sugar increases, insulin is secreted by the pancreas and circulated throughout the body. As insulin binds to cell receptors, cells absorb glucose from the blood stream to produce energy and lower blood sugar levels. As blood sugar decreases, the pancreas secretes glycagon which breaks down glycogen in the liver and releases additional glucose into the blood.

insulincycle3

The secretion of insulin is controlled by glucose concentrations in the blood stream.

Glycemic Index (GI) is a numerical system that rates how fast carbohydrate foods break down into glucose and enter the blood stream. Historically, humans have relied on carbohydrates from natural sources such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, and grains which are generally low GI foods which raise blood sugar levels moderately to properly support your energy system for many hours.

With the advent of preservatives and flavorings in recent times, the food industry has been able produce tasty processed foods with longer shelf lives. Unfortunately many of these popular products (white bread, pretzels, chips, crackers, cookies, cakes, soda) have high GI which cause blood sugar levels to rise very quickly. When blood sugar rises quickly, the level peaks in a short time and then comes crashing down to below normal levels. Since the brain operates on blood sugar, it induces cravings in a short time to force you to eat more and raise blood sugar again. This cycle leads to continuous spiking of blood sugar and abusive release of insulin throughout the day and suppression of glucagon.

In addition, rapid rises in blood sugar causes significant inflammation to the artery’s vessels lining. When this inflammation spreads to the capillaries (the smallest arteries) of the muscles, the vessels tend to constrict and thicken. This creates a physical barrier making it more difficult for insulin in the blood stream to pass through and allow sugar to get into cells. This is the start of Insulin Resistance which means the body is becoming less sensitive to insulin.

Metabolic Syndrome

Insulin Resistance when left untreated, eventually leads to Metabolic Syndrome where insulin levels in the blood rise to high sustained levels causing a group of risk factors that lead to following chronic diseases: obesity, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.

It is believed that there are about 47 million adults in the United States that have Metabolic Syndrome and the numbers are continuing to grow significantly. Metabolic Syndrome does not develop overnight. It comes after years and years of making bad daily dietary choices. You may be at risk of Metabolic Syndrome if:

  • You are older. The risk of getting metabolic syndrome is 20% in your 40s, 35% in your 50s, and 45% in your 60s and beyond.
  • You are prone to blood clots and inflammation. Both are common in people with Metabolic Syndrome. Your doctor can do blood tests to find out if you are at risk.
  • You have other medical conditions such as fatty liver, cholesterol gallstones, and lipodystrophy (which affects fat distribution).
  • It runs in the family. If you have parents or other first degree relatives with diabetes, you are at a higher risk.
  • If you are man and your waist size is above 35. If you are woman and your waist size is above 31.
  • You are South Asian. South Asians have a higher risk of Insulin Resistance and Metabolic Syndrome.

The good news is Metabolic Syndrome is not a genetic disorder and is fully and completely preventable if you are completely true to the cause of making the best choices in your diet. The first conscious decision you need to make is to reverse Insulin Resistance with a healthy lifestyle and diet. Become aware of which are the high and low Glycemic foods and plan your meals accordingly. This will inevitably protect your health. Even if you are a diabetic, you can still reverse damage and continue to live an active life.

Diabetes
When Insulin Resistance is left untreated, Diabetes is a common outcome. Statistics confirm an ongoing epidemic. An estimated 18.2 million people in the United States or 6.3 percent of the population have diabetes, a serious, lifelong condition. Of those, 13 million have been diagnosed, and about 5.2 million people have not yet been diagnosed. Each year, about 1.3 million people aged 20 or older are diagnosed with diabetes. The adult-type diabetes (type II) primarily associated with being overweight made up 2 percent of new cases in children between the ages of 9 and 19 in 1980. By the year 2000, type II diabetes made up an astounding 30-50 percent of new cases of diabetes being diagnosed in this age group!

Diabetes results in more than 170,000 deaths each year in the United States. According to the World Diabetics Foundation, the prevalence of diabetics has reached epidemic proportions. The World Health Organization predicts that developing countries will bear the grunt of this epidemic in the 21st Century, with 80% of all new cases of diabetes expected to appear in developing countries by 2025. Today diabetes affects more than 230 million people worldwide or almost 6% of the adult population. The number of people living with diabetes is expected to increase to 350 million in less than 20 years if action is not taken.

Western Medicine

west

Western medicine relies on aggressive and costly prescription drugs to deal with problems related to Insulin Resistance, Metabolic Syndrome, and Diabetes. These methods generally address only the symptoms of blood chemistry disorders and not the underlying causes. As soon as you stop using the drugs, the problems return! And these prescription drugs often result in unwanted and even dangerous side effects.

Commonly prescribed medications include ACE inhibitors (like Capoten and Vasotec), angiotensin II receptor blockers (like Cozaar and Diovan), diuretics, beta-blockers, statins (like Crestor, Lescol, Lipitor, Mevacor, Pravachol, and Zocor), niacin (like Niacor, Niaspan, and Nicolar), bile acid resins (like Colestid and Questran), Zetia, Glucophage, Actos, and Avandia.

Introducing potent synthetic chemicals into the body clearly has serious ramifications on long-term health. An amazing array of drugs have more side effects than the illnesses or problems they were designed to address.
